So you want to come visit us? Well, you should! We can answer all your Stafford questions and then some. Plus, there is nothing better than physically getting your hands on a Stafford in person and experiencing the crazy loveliness that they are. So, what should you expect when you visit us? In short, expect a little craziness.
Firstly, we have a whole army of homeschooled children running amok, dirty and undisciplined (not really, but sometimes it feels like it).
Secondly, if you plug our address into your GPS you will be taken somewhere far away that is not our house. So we’ve made a map! Just follow the map, it’s easier and will save you wasted time and gas.
Thirdly, we’ve got Staffords! Lots and lots of Staffords. Staffords aren’t exactly known for being quiet and calm. I like to think of a Stafford as a wrecking ball of excitement and terror. Here one minute and gone the next, running circles around you and trying to lick you to death. Not to mention that they want to greet you by alternately jumping up on you and then rolling onto their back for a belly rub, followed by more jumping and more belly rubs.
At this point your probably thinking I’m exaggerating. Maybe a little bit, but, when Staffords are excited to meet someone new, or better yet when a Stafford is meeting someone new who they think will let them, they will try every “bad” behaviour in the book to get your attention and gain your affection. Some of you may love dogs licking you and jumping up on you. In that case you will be in heaven here.
We are a young family, always on the move, juggling multiple jobs and after school activities with a herd of dogs and other animal dependants. So we’re a little crazy, and more often than not we haven’t had time to bathe the dogs since this morning when they took a swim in the pond and then took a run through the farmers field and then rolled happily in the dirt and then came bounding over to greet you as you step out of your car. So it might be a little loud here, and you may get a little dirty, but you may just find yourself falling in love with the special little vibrating cuddle bundle we call the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
