Some of you may wonder about our selection of the Kennel name “Firestone”. The process of selecting a Kennel name started first and foremost with prayer. Of course I wanted everything we do, including my love of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, to reflect our intense love and devotion to Jesus Christ. “Fire” is symbolic of the Holy Spirit and is a constant reminder to me of the indwelling power and presence of God in my life. “Stone” is a reference to the Person of Jesus Christ. David said, “I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge” (Ps. 18:1–2). All who humble themselves and throw themselves on Christ, the rock, the chief cornerstone, will be saved.
And thats where the name “Firestone” came from.
