Who we are

Firestone Staffordshire Bull Terriers is my love and my passion.  But it’s more than a love and a passion, its become an important part of my family and our lives.  The idea for Firestone Staffords started a few years back when I fell in love with a dog, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.  We brought our first Stafford home in January of 2010 and after a few months we knew that we had to have more.  Thanks to the help of our friends at Gamestaff Staffordshire Bull Terriers we whelped our first litter, brought home a little Stafford boy, and Firestone was born.  We love our dogs and we love to include our dogs in our lives.  Our dogs are healthy, strong, intelligent, agile, athletic, courageous, and loyal.  Fully able to accompany you on your daily run and just as willing to snuggle up on the couch afterwards.

We are committed to the betterment of the breed.  Our goal is to steward the Staffordshire Bull Terrier into the future maintaining proper breed Type and proper breed Temperament.  At Firestone we work to put the good of the breed ahead of personal gain or personal goals.  We do not produce puppies for the simple purpose of resale, and when we do produce a litter we do our best to ensure that pups we aren’t planning to keep go to good homes.  We actively work to keep our dogs learning, growing, and working through weight-pull, flirtpole, springpole, and slatmill and are excited for the future of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier breed.

At Firestone we value the original or “old time” Stafford, and strive to maintain a balanced dog, true to the breed standard and true to the original purpose of this breed.  The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is the perfect combo of Bulldog and Old English Terrier.  Being blessed with the strength and gameness of the Bulldog and the speed and agility of the Terrier, we believe the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is the perfect 1-2 punch.
We love the history behind the line of dogs we run here at Firestone and are proud to continue that on.

“He should give the impression of great strength for his size, and although muscular should be active and agile” -Original Breed Standard
